This is not something I would usually do, but over the course of the last 12 days, life has thrown my many curve balls. I went on vacation to Vegas from the 13th to the 17th. I started my journey by heading to Tennessee to pick up some of my friends on the 12th. That's when life started going haywire. After about 400 dollars, a new part, and coolant, we were trying to get back on the road when things went crazy again and ended the journey in my vehicle. I was able to get my van back to my friend's place, and we left in another vehicle from there. We finally returned from Vegas on the 19th. My van was towed to the nearest body shop. A new oiler cooler, an oil change, a radiator system flush, and $1200 in labor. That's when they told me that my van was dead and needed a new engine. I tried to rent a car, got in an uber to the closest OPEN rental places at the airport, but because I wasn't flying, I was unable to use my debit card for payment, and was required to use a credit card, which is something I do not have. So there I was stranded ath the Tri Cities Airport in Tennessee. A friend suggested renting a U-Haul, so I called another Uber to get to the closest U-Haul store. No pick up trucks, no 10' trucks available, only 20' costing $800. I walked out initially, balling because all i wanted to do was get back home to Wisconsin to my family. Sitting on a curb crying because I just wanted to see my son, and be home where I was, somewhere I knew how to get around. My significant other used what money was supposed to be our mortgage payment for the $1700 that was put into my van before we learned that she was dead. Now that I am home, I am asking for help. If you can please donate, if you can't that's fine all I ask is that you share this for me.
