"Congressman Burlison goes into more detail in the bill’s announcement, claiming that 'We should not [be] imposing unnecessary regulations that benefit special interests.'

"That’s an ironic statement coming from someone who received the bulk of his campaign contributions from the AAR (American Railroads), ASLRRA, UP, BNSF, CSX and NS, plus short-line operators Genesee & Wyoming and Herzog last election cycle."

The Coordinated Bargaining Coalition and the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way/SMART Mechanical Coalition have received a proffer of arbitration from the NMB, moving the coalitions one step closer to an agreement and/or self-help.

We encourage everyone to look at our section 6 notices by both us and the carriers. Which one has your back? We are doing all we can, but it takes two to strike a deal and while the carriers have made offers, all have been insulting and not even close to what we would find worthy to present to our valued members.
