8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at Ralph's Diner, 148 Grove St., Worcester.
Bike 15 miles in the dark, in search of the remaining working gas streetlights in Worcester.

If your hydraulic brakes are feeling squishy, they might need a bleed. Air bubbles in the system are usually the cause.

Happy to announce that I can now service mineral oil-based hydraulic braking systems. (Shimano, Magura, TRP, and others)

Got DOT based brakes and want a hand? Twist my arm and I'll get those tools too.

I'm also getting bits for my truing stand so I can true all the huge wheel and tire combos out there.

I've been helping out when I can at this tree farm since we lived down in CT. The Hansens are good people and they grow a helluva tree!

Presently, the Hansen Family Tree Farm, LLC is working towards opening this year. Fall mowing and shearing are underway. There will be changes to protect you and our workers however, being outdoors on the farm will probably be a welcomed adventure for all. The trees are looking beautiful...... We will be opening Friday the day after Thanksgiving at our Barber Road location. We will be posting the details of opening soon.

I got some good news today! My second test came back negative for COVID-19. Nobody I interacted with or saw on vacation has shown any sign of symptoms, ditto for me and my immediate family.

I can't rule it out with absolute certainty, but I am very confidant that the first test result was a false positive.

Thank you for your voices of concern, support, and understanding during this time. I really appreciate it!

I will resume operations with the same precautions in place:

-no contact or distant contact drop-off and pick-up
-wear a mask if we talk in person
-let me know when you're coming so I can manage traffic and avoid multiple customers here at once.

Call or text remains the fastest/best way to reach me.

I got a positive COVID-19 test result yesterday. I was tested on July 31 in order to comply with state regs for travel in advance of our vacation. I did not experience symptoms that were severe enough to notice, so to say this has caught us off guard is an understatement.

I am suspending Wachusett Cyclery operations for two weeks while my family quarantines at home. I have been careful with customer interactions and I don't think any qualify as "close contact", but if you saw me between July 17th and July 31st, you may have been exposed.

I reached out to all individuals I interacted with during this time frame directly, but I am posting here in case I missed anyone.

Please know that I am doing well, as is the rest of my family. If you would like more information or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

So you might notice that I put up an auto-reply for incoming messages to this page. I like using Facebook as a way to connect to the community, but I am trying to reduce my screen time. I have successfully resisted putting Facebook on my phone and I do not regret it!
