Canyon City and Mt. Vernon. Who we are and what we do:
The People Mover is a curb-to-curb transportation service available to anyone. Curb-to-curb means that we will pick you up from and drop you off at the curb of your choice. Our drivers are not allowed to enter your home. Our drivers are not required to assist you into or out of your residence, etc. We recommend that anyone who is unable to assist themselves getting on or off the bus bring a personal care attendant with them. Care attendants ride free. Our buses and vans are special needs equipped and our drivers are trained in handling and securing mobility devices and assisting passengers with special needs. Service animals are allowed, and must be kept on a leash and under the handlers control at all times. No alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are allowed on the buses. Passengers are required:
To wear safety belts. To remain seated until the bus comes to a full stop. To provide their own child safety seat. Office Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Closed all major Holidays.

At this time the Bend bus is delayed. We are considering an alternative route.

The district will continue to use an alternate route for Bend travel, as hwy 26 remains closed. Please call the office for trip updates. We appreciate your patience as we work to provide safe and reliable transportation .

We plan to operate our regular long distance run to Bend tomorrow 8.5.2026. Currently HWY 26 is closed, but we will use the route through Izee to continue to provide the service. Please allow extra travel time. We will continue to monitor road conditions and provide updates if anything changes. Please call into the office to verify all scheduled trips. We will not be going through Mitchell.

Due to wildfires, Hwy 26 is closed. The Bend bus will be returning on an alternate route, please call the office for updates on our routes. 541-575-2370

On Friday July 31st bus service will be resuming to Bend. Please be aware that ongoing fire activity could result in delays, detours or schedule changes. Please allow extra travel time and check for the latest service updates by calling 541-575-2370.
