Someone asked how to bolt up the Yamaha pump so you can get an accurate measurement for the amount to cut off the drives...

Someone asked how to bolt up the Yamaha pump so you can get an accurate measurement for the amount to cut off the driveshaft . This is how I do it . Bolt up a shim the thickness of the transom between the adapter and intake . Next , slide the pump on . The. Take the midshaft and slide it on and usually it till be around 5.3” for the maximum you can shorten the shaft. Hope this helps .

This was a fun build . I recently saw it for sale . I wonder if it’s holding up well. The lvb has been my favorite build yet. The windscreen is the hardest part. Mr Morrow
(owner of lvb) sent me a how to picture of the way he installed his windscreen. Let’s just say his technique requires ratchet straps and a forklift 😆
