Mushroom hunting in October 🍄‍🟫

Consider this your reminder to slow down, look a little closer, and see what’s fruiting around you!! 🐸

Fall is bringing out some seriously funky fungi, from chicken of the woods to waxcaps, elf cups, and more. 🧺

If you spot something good, document it! 🔍 Snap photos in situ, get the underside, note what it’s growing on, and upload your find to iNaturalist for the mycology nerds among us.

Just remember: never eat a wild mushroom based on an online ID alone. When in doubt, just admire and photograph.

What are you hoping to spot this month?
