Professional Driver Highlight of the Week: Chanta Nixon! 🚛
This week, we are proud to highlight Chanta Nixon, one of the professional drivers who has been a part of the ACT family for 2 months now!
When asked what she loves most about working at ACT, Chanta said,
“The professional family vibe. It’s like the ‘Cheers’ of trucking — where everybody knows your name.”
Chanta’s journey into trucking actually began with a career change. After spending 25 years in the carpentry industry, she decided it was time to try something new.
“I decided to try my hand at a more lucrative income that wasn’t so strenuous on the body.”
Outside of trucking, Chanta is huge on family and connecting with people from all walks of life. She and her wife have five children and four grandchildren. Three are toddlers and one is a pre-teen!
Chanta also has an entrepreneurial side. She enjoys networking with people from different professions, has continued investing in herself throughout the years, and is currently working on a fashion design for hats.
Chanta, thank you for being part of the ACT family and for bringing your personality, experience, and professional family spirit to the company.
