📣 Brand new Annual Membership + Parking option now available from Bike Share KC! This exciting new membership will be the **first of its kind in the United States,** giving members the freedom to park outside of an official hub without paying the $2 Convenience Parking Fee. For $249, Annual Membership + Parking riders will have the ultimate amount of flexibility available in the bike share industry.

If you are not currently a Bike Share KC member, just tap the new option and check out. If you have a current Annual Membership, please email us at [email protected] to inquire about a pro-rated Annual Membership + Parking.

▶️ The fine print
As always, bikes must be locked and parked in the public right of way in accordance with program rules. The Annual Membership + Parking does not exempt riders from fines for unlocked bikes, bikes blocking an access point or parked outside the service area, or vandalism.

Special delivery! Is your costume ready to ride? We have some tips for a bike-friendly Halloween!

FUN SPOOKY:
👑 Wigs or hats that work with your helmet
🥸 Masks or face paint that don't block your vision
🧤 Costume pieces that allow free use of your arms, legs, hands, and feet
🧺 A sturdy bag to prevent all your treats from falling out of the basket

TOO SCARY:
🤖 Helmets or masks that make it hard to see or turn your head
🧜‍♂️ Costumes that get caught in your wheels or prevent you from pedaling, holding the handlebars, or using the handbrakes
🍭 Leaving your candy unsecured-- if you hit a bump, all that loot is gonna be litter. Ask us how we know 😢

Our best tip for celebrating National Dessert Day with Bike Share KC: bring something to tie it down!!

It is a huge bummer to hit a pothole and watch your box of doughnuts go flying into the street. Bungees, shoe laces, busted inner tubes... whatever you got is better than doughnuts in the street.

What about parking a Bike Share KC bike?
FREE: Lock up and end your trip at official Bike Share KC hubs.
$2: Lock up outside of a hub nearly anywhere in the service area as long as the bike is available to other users and doesn't inhibit anyone else's mobility. For example, locking up to a public bike rack or a street sign is probably fine. Locking up to a bus stop or a handrail is not.
