What an amazing time in Cape Town South Africa!
On day 2 we toured Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned.
There was so much we learned about the island/prison, our tour guide was an inmate in the late 80's which made it more special and heavy at the same time.

11-year-old children were put in prison with a 5-year sentence for throwing rocks at the police.

60 men had 3 showers to share, having to rise early to get showered before a specific time.

If you go to Cape Town make this a must-do on your list.

Tip: the ferry ride over can be rough, so if you get motion sickness please take something.

Grace Bay, Turks & Caicos is my all-time favorite beach!
I love to lay out on the beach with that powder-white sand.
I will never forget the Island Vibes tour we took. Whew!

Flying can sometimes be a TRIP! (no pun intended)
But you can make the most of it and actually enjoy your flight with these tips.
I do this...

Pack a well-organized carry-on bag with all your essentials. This includes important documents (passport, ID, travel insurance, boarding passes), medications, a change of clothes, toiletries, chargers, and any valuable items. In case your checked luggage is delayed or lost, having these essentials in your carry-on ensures you can still comfortably start your vacation while waiting for your checked bags to catch up. It also provides peace of mind in case of unexpected delays or layovers.
