Yep!
Some people discover sailing later in life. Others seem to arrive in this world already dreaming about anchorages, sea breezes, and distant horizons.
Maybe that's why sailors always joke that the obsession starts before we're born. Long before the first boat purchase, the first sailing lesson, or the first night at anchor, there's often something pulling us toward the water. We stop to watch sailboats in harbors. We stare at charts for places we've never been. We find ourselves daydreaming about islands while sitting in traffic.
Years later, we realize it was never really a hobby. It was a calling. The boats may change, the destinations may change, but that feeling never does.
