Your passport may not actually be “good” until the expiration date printed on it.

Many travelers assume that if their passport expires AFTER their vacation, they’re good to go. Not always!

Some countries require your passport to be valid for 3–6 months beyond your travel dates. Depending on your destination, you could be denied boarding or entry even though your passport technically hasn’t expired yet.

Before booking international travel:
• Check your passport expiration date
• Check the specific entry requirements for your destination
• Don’t wait until the last minute to renew
• Check the kids’ passports too — children’s passports expire sooner than adult passports!
