🚐🔥 Repeat Customer, Fast Turnaround, and Another Happy Customer! 🔥🚐

This repeat customer dropped off his Transit van on Wednesday, and we were able to get everything completed and delivered back to him this afternoon! That’s a pretty impressive turnaround, especially with everything we had on the schedule and all the work that went into this van. 💪

Here’s what we took care of:

✅ Wrapped the rear panels in Gloss Black
✅ Replaced headlight housings and bulbs
✅ Installed new fog light bulbs
✅ Replaced the tag light bulb
✅ Replaced side marker light bulbs
✅ Reattached the bug deflector after it came loose
✅ Diagnosed the vehicle’s A/C issue
✅ Performed a standard detail inside and out (no shampoo service)

From custom appearance upgrades and lighting repairs to diagnostics and detailing, this van left looking cleaner, sharper, and ready to get back to work.

Dropped off Wednesday and back in the customer’s hands this afternoon. Not a bad turnaround considering we had multiple other vehicles and projects moving through the shop at the same time. We work hard to keep jobs moving while maintaining the quality our customers expect.

One of our awesome repeat customers stopped by to get ready for those long summer drives! 🔥

We matched the factory rear glass with 25% tint on the front two windows and topped it off with a 5% sun strip to help cut down on glare and keep that Florida/Georgia sun out of their eyes. 🌞🚗

Not only does it give the vehicle a cleaner, more finished look, but it also helps keep things cooler inside during these brutal summer temperatures.

This 2005 Chevy Silverado came to us after a shop in Brunswick told the customer it was just a transmission issue and assured him it would be a simple job. The customer trusted their word, had the transmission supposedly replaced, and thought everything was good to go.

The problem? On his way home from their shop in Brunswick, he lost ALL of his gears. Since January, the truck had only been driven about 5 miles because it was no longer reliable. On top of that, it developed intermittent starting issues.

The customer took it back to the original shop and was told the problem was a bad neutral safety switch. They replaced it… yet the truck still had issues.

That’s when he brought it to Chomicki Auto.

After a full inspection, we found the transmission wasn’t right. The truck had no 1st or 2nd gear, which meant it was time to tear into it and find the real problem. We performed a complete transmission rebuild the right way and addressed the starting issue by properly adjusting the neutral safety switch so it worked correctly with the factory shift cable.

The best part?

👉 So far, we’ve already driven this truck farther during our testing and verification process than the customer was able to drive it after leaving the original shop back in January.

That’s the difference between replacing parts and actually fixing the problem.

✅ Complete transmission rebuilt the right way
✅ 1st and 2nd gears restored
✅ Starting issues eliminated
✅ Neutral safety switch properly adjusted
✅ Factory shift operation working as intended
✅ Thoroughly road-tested
✅ Happy customer back on the road

We kept this customer updated throughout the entire process, explained exactly what we found, and made sure the truck left our shop fixed—not patched.

Sometimes a “simple fix” turns into a major headache when corners are cut. We believe in diagnosing the problem correctly, repairing it correctly, and standing behind our work.

Now this Silverado is shifting smooth, starting every time, and ready to rack up a lot more than 5 miles. 💪🔥
