July 2023 has been challenging with high maintenance costs, several cargo claims, lowered rates, reduction in freight, contractor issues, and I haven't been home in almost 10 weeks! Stewart Logistics and Shipping is still thriving through it all. The numbers don't lie! Maintaining my basic plan to not just survive the ups and downs of this industry, but to remain steadfast and ordinary is working, thank God. I don't have chromed out expensive equipment. I don't demand unreasonably high rates that leaves my equipment parked for days. I don't accept extremely low rates that generate absolutely no revenue. I do regular preventive maintenance on my equipment. I don't have a brand new 100k vehicle. I haven't purchased boats, motorcycles, or any toys. Instead I have reinvested in my business over and over to remain sustainable and to continue to grow. My business is growing steadily in spite of all the ups and downs. Fast money is not a goal for me. I'm in this for the LONG HAUL
