This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate to not only lead the Human Resources department but to progressively rebuild existing processes and develop new ones. The HR Manager serves as the strategic leader for most HR needs and responsibilities. We are seeking a well-qualified person that is willing to complete HR tasks at all levels to fully grasp the company’s functions and needs. This position will have sole oversight of general HR functions with emphasis on benefits administration and retention programs (payroll and recruiting will be minimum).

SPT Holdings is a management company that provides administrative services and operational support to its four transportation and logistics companies. Collectively, the companies partner with major clients throughout the continental US such as FedEx, Amazon, and other tech start-ups around the US. We currently have an opening for a Human Resources Manager at our Kirkland, WA corporate office.
Responsibilities:
Evaluates organizational practices for compliance with laws, rules, and policies; change and implement any existing practice to comply with regulatory requirements.
Provides guidance and educates managers and supervisors regarding performance management and corrective actions. Ensures that performance evaluations occur in compliance with policies, practices, and procedures.
Develop, implement, and manage internal HR auditing program.
Analyze exit interviews and employee surveys analyze data and make recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
Works with the Executive Leadership Team to develop a supervisor and manager training program that incorporates necessary HR components for continued development.
Develops and nurtures relationships across the organization that influence and are supportive of the culture developed by all employees.
Conducts, or assists managers with, investigations to resolve allegations and work with parties towards resolution of employee concerns.
Collaborate, as part of a 5-person HR team, in creating the vision and goals for the Department.
Serve as the department representative in hearings and responding to employee grievances and arbitrations.
Manage and keep all files organized both physically and electronically.
BI reporting on the department’s performance weekly.
Serve as administrator of the company’s HRIS (UltiPro).
Promote a work environment that embraces and encourages diversity and inclusion in its workforce and where differences are valued.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in an HR role.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in an HR management role.
Professional HR Certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP) required.
Extensive knowledge of all current and upcoming Federal, State, and local laws.
Knowledge of multi-state laws; CA, WA, TX, OR, and/or NV preferred.
Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel; SharePoint is a plus)
Extensive experience administering an HRIS; UltiPro preferred
A proven track record in developing and implementing innovative strategies, best practices and goals in human resources.
Experience providing legally defensible advice and opinions to applicants, existing employees, supervisors, and managers.
Skill in dealing effectively with groups or individuals in sensitive situations.
Demonstrates behaviors that reflect sound judgment, fairness, respect, and inclusiveness with a thorough investigation of matters.
Excellent customer service, people management, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work productively with different levels of management and staff under challenging conditions.
Self-starter; must be able to work independently
