Naviva isn’t your typical Four Seasons. It is very special and our clients have been loving it. It is a totally unique experience. It’s only 15 tented bungalows with a max of 30 guests onsite. Rates are all-inclusive.

They don’t allow guests under the age of 16 so it is well suited for an anniversary trip, honeymoon, babymoon, or anyone looking to slow down and connect.

What makes it work isn’t the plunge pools or the outdoor showers (though those are excellent). It’s that there’s no front desk, no fixed schedule, and no set menu. Your guide learns how you take your coffee, what you like to eat, how you want to spend the day — then quietly makes it happen! It feels less like a hotel and more like a house that happens to be perfectly staffed.

Dining is a conversation, not a menu. They ask your preferences and build from there.

And when you want the big resort? Naviva guests get full run of Four Seasons Punta Mita next door — but it doesn’t go the other way.

Reach out to start planning- because our preferred partnership clients receive perks. They are running some promos like 5th night free or extra resort credit.

It’s been over a decade now that I’ve been living with POTS and chronic illnesses. I’ve been humbled by people reaching out over the years telling me that they helped a friend get their diagnosis after seeing my posts in the past. I haven’t talked about it in a long time, and I thought it might be a good time to share some of things that make travel a little easier on me.

If you are just starting on your journey- I promise there is hope.
I recommend finding a counselor to help you process the grief. It is normal to mourn your past identity, physical capabilities, and future expectations. I live a relatively normal life now but it took years to get here. At first, It was hard for me to even walk to another room in my house— now I stay very active (which is a huge help with pain) and travel nearly every month of the year. My dms are always open- trust me when I say I understand the deep despair and depression that can accompany this condition. If you are struggling with thoughts of su***de please call or text 988 for support and to speak with a trained counselor.

I hope this post offers some help if you are feeling ready to travel again. If you have someone in your life struggling with a chronic illness- give them grace as they learn to navigate their new life and remember that these are invisible illnesses so what they look like on the outside doesn’t always match how they are feeling inside.

P.S. Hotels- pllleeeaaassseee make sure there is a chair in every hotel room so people can sit down while they get ready.

Did I make that clear enough? 😆🦓🦁🦛🐆🐘

Truly a life changing experience and while a lot of people say it’s a once in a lifetime trip—you’ll want to go back (speaking from experience).

We work with the very best on-the-ground partners to craft a custom itinerary for you and will make sure you are looked after the entire time. We can handle international flights, travel within Africa, booking accommodations, and any other special tours or activities (like a hot-air balloon ride over the Serengeti or a helicopter ride to reach places that are rarely seen by other humans). We also know where to position you so you’ll have the best chance at seeing wildlife.

We recommend planning at least 12 months out.

Tired of sweating through gelato lines? European summer doesn’t have to mean 95° and elbow-to-elbow crowds. We know the spots.

After 10 years as a luxury travel advisor, here’s the trip I recommend more than any other: a dude ranch.

🐴 The screens disappear (without the fight)

🎣 Real, uninterrupted time together. We all know how rare that can be with everyone’s busy schedules.

🤠 You bond by doing. You’ll be laughing and making memories together.

🧳 Everything’s onsite, so there’s no car, no moving around, no “what do we do today?”. You won’t leave feeling exhausted from logistics.

😌 And because every detail is handled, the parents actually get to relax too (which is HUGE).

The secret is matching the right ranch to your family. Some have incredible kids’ programming; others are better for teens or multigenerational trips. The accommodation type matters just as much. It’s a big investment so you want to make sure you have the right fit.

That’s where I come in. Reach out to start planning for 2027 (there is still some limited availability for 2026 if you have flexibility in Aug/Sept). I’ll point you to the right one for your crew.

Nothing beats a dude ranch vacation if you’re feeling burnt out.
