🚨 ICYMI: Phishing Emails Targeting Motor Carriers 🚨

In recognition of National Consumer Protection Week, here’s an important reminder: scammers are sending emails pretending to be from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA/USDOT).

These messages may ask for sensitive information, demand payment, or send you to non-.gov websites.

Here’s the rule of thumb:
✔️ Official FMCSA emails almost always come from a .gov address.
❌ FMCSA will not request payments or sensitive information through random email links.

If something feels off:
❌ Don’t click suspicious links.
âś… Verify directly with the FMCSA Contact Center: https://ask.fmcsa.dot.gov/app/ticket
âś… Report phishing attempts to the Federal Bureau of Investigation at https://www.ic3.gov

A quick pause can protect your business and your personal information.
