Aunty Fabulous Says...

When you need help, ask. And when it's offered, receive it with grace.

Many of us hesitate to ask because asking can feel vulnerable. Sometimes there's pride. Sometimes there's fear. Often, there's a quiet sense of shame that whispers, "I should be able to do this on my own."

I've felt that too. Too many times. But here's what I've learned: needing help isn't a sign of weakness. It's part of being human.

Think about how good it feels when you're able to help someone you love. It brings purpose, connection, and joy. By graciously accepting help, you're giving someone else the opportunity to experience that same feeling.

Life has seasons.

Sometimes we're the one extending a hand.
Sometimes we're the one reaching for it.

Both take courage.
Both are generous.
Both are acts of love.

So if today is the day you need a hand, don't let shame stand in the way.

One day, you'll be in a position to lift someone else.

Until then, let yourself be loved.

Your first day in Laie doesn’t need to begin with a checklist.

Let it begin with ocean air.

A slow walk through the tropical gardens at Tiki Moon Villas. Koi moving beneath lily pads. Bare feet near the water. Something simple in the villa kitchen while everyone settles in and finds their rhythm again after travel.

The noni tree is EVERYWHERE here in Hawaii. 🌿

People across Polynesia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific have traditionally used the leaves in teas, infusions, poultices, and even as cooked greens.

And guess what's NOT in the leaf?

The STINK. 🤣

Someone really smart once said: "You are either growing or shrinking." Now, whether that is scientifically, spiritually, emotionally, or metabolically true is left as an exercise for the reader. 😄

Drink your lemon water. Ask one question you don't already know the answer to. Listen to someone whose life experience is different from yours. Learn something. Grow a little.

Then offer three cheers for growing:
🥂 To growing wiser.
🥂 To growing kinder.
🥂 To growing more curious.

Certainty is comfortable. Curiosity is where the adventure lives.

Protein, healthy fats, and steady energy so you stop trying to survive on caffeine, chaos, and emotional resilience alone.

Face mask:
The yogurt gently exfoliates while the honey hydrates and calms the skin.

Hair mask:
Softens dry hair, smooths frizz, and gives strong:
“I drink water and mind my business” energy.

Here’s the system:

🥣 Mix 1 cup plain yogurt + 2 tbsp honey
🥣 Apply some to your face and hair
