Imagine your kids have already…

✨ Hugged Disney characters.
🍽️ Enjoyed a relaxing character breakfast.
😊 Started the day happy and full.
🚶‍♀️ Walked into EPCOT through International Gateway.
🐭 Been in line for Remy’s by 9:00 AM.
🎢 Finished riding by 9:15 AM.

…and it’s still not even 9:30.

No rushing to find breakfast.

No hungry kids asking for snacks before your first attraction.

No waiting in the crowds at EPCOT’s main entrance.

No Lightning Lane needed for Remy’s.

Instead, we used that Lightning Lane for another attraction later in the day.

✨ Bonus tip: If you’re eating at Beach Club or Yacht Club before EPCOT, enter through International Gateway. It’s one of my favorite ways to start an EPCOT morning because it typically feels much calmer than entering through the front of the park.

This is exactly why we love booking Cape May Cafe at 7:30 AM.

The character interactions are always so much fun and never feel rushed. The Disney magic starts before you even step into the park.

By 9:30 AM, we’d already shared a character breakfast, made unforgettable family memories, checked off one of EPCOT’s busiest rides, and set ourselves up for a smoother day.

This is the kind of Disney morning I’ll choose every single time. 💙

✨ Save this for your next EPCOT day.

I booked the cheapest room category at Disney’s All-Star Sports…

…and it ended up feeling like a preferred room.

Here’s why.

Before my trip, I researched the resort map and used TouringPlans’ Room Finder to preview individual room locations. Then, before online check-in, I requested a specific building and room that fit what mattered most to our family.

Our room ended up being:

🏊 Steps from the quiet pool
🧺 Right next to the laundry room
🚌 An easy walk to Disney transportation

For us, that location made a standard room feel like an upgrade.

One thing this trip taught me is that room category isn’t always the most important decision.

Sometimes, choosing the right location within the resort can make a bigger difference than paying for a more expensive room.

Now, this isn’t a guarantee—Disney room requests are requests, not promises. But if your requested room is available, it’s absolutely worth asking.

On this same trip, we also stayed in a preferred room at All-Star Movies, and it reinforced the same lesson: a great location can completely change your resort experience.

✨ Save this for your next Disney vacation so you remember to research your room before online check-in.

Have you ever submitted a room request for a Disney resort? I’d love to hear if it worked out for you! 👇

Hot take:

I would never use Magic Kingdom After Hours as my only Magic Kingdom day.

Magic Kingdom has so much more to offer than rides.

🎭 Castle stage shows
🎈 Festival of Fantasy parade
👑 Character meet and greets
🍿 Specialty snacks and dining
✨ The daytime atmosphere that makes Magic Kingdom feel like Magic Kingdom

But that’s also why we love After Hours.

Instead of trying to squeeze everything into one visit, we treat After Hours as a second Magic Kingdom day.

One regular Magic Kingdom day for the experiences.

One After Hours night for the rides.

That strategy gave us:

🚂 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train with minimal waits
🏍️ TRON with minimal waits
🎡 Multiple rides with little to no waits
🌙 A nearly empty Magic Kingdom
✨ A completely different nighttime atmosphere

For our family, that’s where the value really shines.

One thing I love about working with a travel advisor is having someone help think through decisions like this before booking.

Is After Hours worth it for your family?
Should you add another Magic Kingdom day instead?
How do you fit it into your vacation plans?

That’s exactly the kind of planning help Cheyenne with People Mover Travel provides.
