Scenes from a 4th of July stay with friends at Disney’s Beach Club resort ✨

This has become such a sweet tradition for our family and this year was extra special for the 250th! We loved hanging with so many friends who love Disney and creating magical memories ❤️🤍💙

We brought decorations for our room 🇺🇸

We stayed club level which means included food and drinks in the club lounge! This was a sparkling wine with red sparkles for the 4th!

On the 4th we headed to Epcot to meet Mickey and friends in their patriotic attire and they handed out these souvenir postcards.

Family, friends, fireworks and the Fourth of July 🇺🇸 Waited 2.5 hours in the heat to meet Mickey and pals in their patriotic outfits but it was worth it on the 250th! We’ll always remember this day! So happy to celebrate the country we love and the freedom we enjoy because of the sacrifices of those who came before us. ❤️🤍💙

Happy 4th of July from Disney’s Magic Kingdom! 🇺🇸

To celebrate America’s 250th, Disney World has three nights of Independence Day fireworks at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. It was so special watching the fireworks last night with friends and we can’t wait for more celebrating today!

These are the kinds of weekends I dreamed about when we moved to Florida 🌲✨

Wilderness Lodge is one of our favorite Disney resorts but this was our first time staying club level here.

The lounge never felt crowded, there were always plenty of seats, and fewer guests meant the Cast Members really got to know us and provided exceptional service.

We loved that the lounge overlooks the gorgeous lobby (it would be extra magical at Christmas!), and the team went above and beyond—even bringing me full plant-based skillets from Whispering Canyon when there weren’t many vegetarian options available. The evening offerings are great though if you enjoy BBQ and smokehouse flavors.

A few things to know: the food selection is smaller overall, lunch is truly just snacks, and breakfast is pretty simple. Also, the lounge feels far from the pools, especially the Boulder Ridge pool, so grabbing a drink or Mickey bar means a bit of a trek.

Overall, I think it’s a great choice if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate club-level experience at a lower price point.

When I was 18 years old, I took my first solo trip. Somehow I persuaded my parents it was a good idea to skip a few college classes and buy a plane ticket to a city I’d never been and where I knew no one.

I fell in love with Washington, DC that trip—the history and beauty and power of the city. I would end up moving there and having some of the most incredible experiences of my life. I came to revere the historic buildings and monuments that represent America and I was lucky enough to work in a couple of them.

DC was the first trip we took the twins on when they were babies, but it was so special to take them back now that they’re older and show them the city I love so much!
