Disneyland 2027 planning starts TOMORROW!

If a Disneyland trip is on your radar for next year, here’s your heads-up!

Starting Tuesday, August 25, Disneyland vacation packages and Disneyland Resort hotel room-only reservations will become available for 2027 visits!

This includes arrival dates January 1–December 31, 2027.

One important thing to know: Disney uses a 499-day booking window, so if you’re looking at dates later in 2027, not every date will necessarily be available to book right away. More dates will open as that window moves forward.

And if you’re thinking about Disneyland this fall or winter instead, there are currently some special offers available for select dates.

🎃 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party: What I Learned From Actually Being There 👻

We went into Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party with a plan… and then my kids reminded me that their plan was basically RIDE ALL THE RIDES. 😂

And honestly? It worked out pretty well.

We walked onto Haunted Mansion. Fantasyland was basically a walk-on. Buzz Lightyear? Walk-on. PeopleMover? Walk-on. TRON got up to about a 45-minute wait at its highest, but was closer to 25 minutes for most of the night.

So if your kids aren't interested in standing around for every Halloween activity, you can get A LOT of rides in during the party.

But there are a few things I learned that I would absolutely tell my clients:

🎆 FIREWORKS: GET YOUR SPOT EARLY.

And when I say early, I mean EARLY.

The area in front of the castle was packed, all the way down Main Street. But I do recommend finding a spot because the castle projections were SO good and absolutely worth seeing.

🎃 PARADE TIP: FRONTIERLAND WINS.

Yes, sitting on Main Street with the castle in the background makes for a gorgeous parade view.

BUT…

If you watch from Frontierland, you're closer to where the parade starts. That means you can leave your spot much earlier than the people waiting for it to reach the end of the route.

And especially if you're watching the last parade of the night, that can make a HUGE difference.

You can either:
➡️ Get a couple more rides in while everyone else is still watching the parade
OR
➡️ Make your way toward the exit before the really heavy crowds hit.

🍬 DON'T LET THE TRICK-OR-TREAT LINES FOOL YOU.

Some of those lines look INSANE.

But they move much faster than they look.

The lines with characters tend to move a little slower, but I'd expect around 20 minutes or so for some of those. The treat trails without characters move really quickly.

And Disney isn't playing around with the candy. 😂

You get your treat bag when you enter the party (and let's be honest… that bag is WAY too small) PLUS a full-size candy bar.

So check your map when you enter and start hitting those treat trails!

🍔 TRY A HALLOWEEN-THEMED TREAT.

We tried the Fang-tastic Garlic Butter with the black bun from Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland and it was DELICIOUS.

👀 AND PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR MAP!

There are little pockets of Halloween entertainment throughout the park that you might completely miss if you're just focused on the big attractions.

The acrobats in Fantasyland were one of my kids' favorites!

So yes… we went to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

And yes, my kids mostly wanted to ride rides. 😂

But that's one of the things I love about Disney — you don't have to experience the party exactly the same way everyone else does.

There are SO many ways to spend those party hours.

And since I've actually experienced it, I have even more tips for making the most of your night.

I’m back from vacation, and I have SO much to share with you! ✨

This trip was a little different for me because, while I was absolutely enjoying some much-needed vacation time, I was also paying attention to all the little things I know my clients want to know about.

I experienced all four Walt Disney World parks, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, several Disney dining experiences, some pretty amazing Disney extras… and then hopped aboard the Disney Fantasy for a 5-night Concierge sailing.

And I took notes. 😂

I tried things I’ve been asked about, revisited things I’ve experienced before, and tried a few things I hadn’t personally done yet so I can give you my honest opinion.

Was it worth it?
Would I do it again?
Who do I think it’s best for?
Where would I spend the money… and where would I save it?

Those are the things I want to share with you.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be breaking down some of the experiences from this trip and giving you the real-life, first-hand version — not just the information you can find on a Disney website.

Because one of my favorite parts of being a travel agent is being able to say:
