Is a verandah REALLY worth the extra money on a Disney cruise? 🚢

We’ve sailed Disney in different stateroom categories, and while you absolutely do not need a verandah to have an amazing cruise, there’s something pretty special about having your own private outdoor space!

Morning coffee while pulling into port, watching the ocean before getting ready for dinner, or just escaping the crowds for a little while!

Depending on the sailing, upgrading from an inside or oceanview stateroom to a verandah can add hundreds or even thousands of dollars to the price.

So I’m curious!

First Disney cruise? Here’s something that makes Disney’s dining a little different!

With rotational dining, you’ll eat in a different themed restaurant each night, but your serving team rotates with you! 🍽️

That means you’ll typically have the same servers throughout your cruise, giving them a chance to learn your preferences along the way.

They might remember what you like to drink, bring something they know you enjoyed before, or get to know your family throughout the sailing. It’s one of those little touches that can make Disney Cruise Line dining feel extra special!

Your restaurant and dining time for each night can be found in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you’re onboard.

🚢 Cruising out of Fort Lauderdale? This might be one of the best pre-cruise hotels!

We stayed at the brand new Omni Fort Lauderdale before sailing on the Disney Destiny, and this hotel seriously impressed us! Between the location near Port Everglades, the gorgeous rooms, pool, dining options, and everything within walking distance, there’s a lot to love.

If you’re considering staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort 🌴✨ this is one resort that really surprised us!

Erik and I stayed at Coronado Springs on our recent Disney World trip, and we filmed a little mini vlog showing you around the resort: our room, the pools, food, transportation, and what it’s actually like staying here.

Coronado is technically a Moderate Resort, but there were definitely moments where it felt a lot more like a Deluxe. We also found a few things you’ll definitely want to know before booking.

Disney Cruise Tip 🚢🐭✨ Staterooms pt. 1

Before you pack EVERYTHING for your Disney cruise, you might want to ask Disney if they already have it onboard!

There are several items that may be available to request for your stateroom, including things like bed rails, diaper disposal units, shower stools and other helpful items.

Some requests can be made ahead of your cruise, while your stateroom host or Guest Services may be able to help with others once you’re onboard.

Availability can vary, so if there’s something you need, we always recommend contacting Disney Cruise Line ahead of time rather than waiting until you sail!

It’s one less thing you might have to squeeze into that suitcase.
