I know there have been a lot of speculations and rumors about what’s going on at Dunham’s Bay Boat Company So I think it’s time I shared the good news with you all.

Matt and Becky O’Hara have purchased the marina and we will be closing on the deal on October 11th. The O’Hara’s are not new to the boating business. They introduced Freedom Boat Club in Lake George operating out of Beckley’s Marina three years ago. And that is what they will be bringing to Dunham’s Bay. For those not Familiar with the concept I suggest you look at the freedom boat club website. It’s a fantastic idea and available to all members for usage of boats all over the country once they buy their membership.

It is very difficult for me to walk away from what has been my whole life after 48 years of basically living at Dunham‘s Bay. But it’s time to Move on and relax and that’s what I’m planning on doing. Someplace much warmer than here! But coming back up for the summers so I can find out what summer is really like In Lake George as all I’ve ever done is work. So please welcome them in their new location with open arms as they are a lovely couple. I know the transition is very short as it is for us. But Adam Riley will still be at Dunham‘s Bay running the Service department with his great Expertise and will be offering all the same services as we have in the past including winterization spring commissioning gas repairs storage etc.

Unfortunately they will not have as many docks to rent as they will need Docks for their own club members. There’ll still be some available space left

for current dockers but not for everybody unfortunately. Matt will be getting hold of you all as soon as possible to let you know if we still have dock space for you. My recommendation is that you put your name on waiting lists starting now just in case…

I will think of all of you and all our memories very often and I’m looking forward to seeing you next summer when I’m out in a boat instead of looking out my window at you out in your boats. It’s been a wonderful experience and I will always think of you as friends and family. Looking forward to seeing you all next summer.

I absolutely cannot believe that it's Labor Day! It seems like we missed out on an awful lot of summer this year. Hopefully the fall foliage will make up for it… Hope you're all having a great Labor Day!

Thank you Harve for your valued patronage!

Just wanted to let you know that we got our Suntracker back to Lake Champlain in one piece and it looks very handsome at our dock. Our neighbors were very impressed with the boat.

Again, I thank you for all the help that you, Adam, and Travis gave us. Adam was extremely patient and thorough in not only preparing the boat, motor, and trailer but also in going over the equipment with me. I wish all my big purchase items were done as professionally.

I recently heard a rumor that spring is coming to Lake George. However, I still think it's a long way off. We could do without more snow and ice quite nicely! just keep your fingers crossed and think SPRING!' Looking forward to seeing all of you at the Docks soon. Karen
