✨🏆 Award Week! 🏆✨ Day 2!!!

Today we celebrate the City Of Lake View, Iowa, a recipient of the 2026 Robert D. Ray Community Award for Excellence. This award is given annually to a town or city for enhancing the beauty, cleanliness and attractiveness of the community.

The City of Lake View was nominated for this award by Brent Mueggenberg for their legacy enhancing cultural amenities, building hometown pride and protecting the local environment for all residents. Lake View is a Keep Iowa Beautiful Hometown Pride Community. Long known as an outdoor destination with their campgrounds, bike trails, outdoor concerts and Black Hawk Lake, in 2025 they added to their community amenities with the opening of the Lake View Community Center, a publicly-owned 1,400 square foot facility that can be rented for everything from concerts to receptions. This community center will also benefit the local environment through eco-friendly infrastructure, including rain gardens and a bioretention pond, that will help improve water quality in Black Hawk Lake and the greater watershed.

Please join us in congratulating Lake View in the comments! 📣🎉
