A few weeks ago, we celebrated a new chapter for our riders with the ribbon-cutting of the Little Free Library in Winter Haven! 📖

Riders can grab a book while waiting for the bus or leave one for someone else in the community to enjoy.

Know before you go:

Think painted lines mean opposing traffic can keep moving past a stopped school bus? Think again.

➡️ A painted median or center turn lane is not a physical barrier, so drivers traveling in both directions must stop when the bus displays its stop signal.
➡️ Only a raised barrier or an unpaved median at least five feet wide changes the rule for opposing traffic.

Prefer a card in your wallet? The Citrus Connection SMARTCARD is a reloadable plastic card that stores your purchased fares. Buy a new card for $2 and load eligible fare options at a Citrus Connection facility or onboard a fixed-route bus. Onboard purchases are cash only, so plan before you board.

Know before you go:

➡️ When a school bus displays its stop signal, drivers traveling in the same direction must always stop.
➡️ On a two-way road, traffic in both directions must stop.
➡️ Opposing traffic may continue only when the roadway is divided by a raised barrier or an unpaved median at least five feet wide. Stay stopped until the signal is withdrawn.
