Working to get this piece of Lake Rabun history finished up. 1948 ChrisCraft U22.. One of the original tour boats for Hall's Boat House from the 40s and 50s. We completely sanded it down removing all the old lettering, applying multiple fresh coats of white paint, new computer cut stenciling for painting the lettering and fresh coats of bottom paint. Also refreshing all of the varnish. Complete full new interior and flooring. There's always a lot more necessary than meets the eye when restoring wooden boats. Very tedious time consuming work. My OCD for perfection adds to the timelines unfortunately.

Awesome program on Georgia history & Rabun county history.

In the late 1860’s as Georgia is beginning to recover from the devastation of the Civil War. In this look back, we trace the little-known historical facts of Georgia’s development of electricity and the people who made it happen. In the early 1900’s, new innovation would harness the power of w...

Reminder Tip of the Day: Always raise your motor compartment cover/hatch on the first cold start of the day to smell for any raw fuel caused by a possible fuel leak. The slightest spark from the starter engaging into the flywheel to start the motor can ignite fuel vapor/fumes.

Do not rely on the blower all the time!!... but do use it on every warm start.

Also!! Do the same thing after filling up at the marina... actually start the motor with the cover open. You could save your life!!... & your boat!!

To be totally honest... you should do this with your waverunners too!! I've seen to many marina security camera videos of waverunners blowing up & riders getting thrown into the air. Unlatch & lift that seat. Only takes a second that could save you from serious injury or your life. My opinion is that waverunners should have blowers too... I am planning on doing a custom install of one on my personal SeaDoo.

Everyone please be safe, alert & aware of your surroundings at all times!!

Everyone have a safe & blessed boating season.
