This week, all of our full time staffers will have returned home to prepare for the upcoming school year. Aris Creasap pictured here with Alivia in the background (both of whom are our nieces) has been a tremendous help this season. She worked though long days, heat, rain, unrelenting sunlight, unplanned slips into the lake all to make sure Indian Lake visitors made the best possible memories. Working for Summertime Rental is a lot of things for young people. First, its a pretty cool thing to spend your summer living likeside. It's usually their first experience living on their own. In an environment where we are there to support them while they figure out all of the things it takes to be successful doing so. Second though, and possibly most important, is that it's hard. While closing out the late adolescent stage of life and transitioning to adulthood, we think that is so important. Kids need to endure some difficulties to learn that they can overcome them. It opens up their circle of possibilities and comfortabilities. This will likely be the hardest job she'll ever have. Young people who have worked here before will attest. It's physically demanding and the days are long. The confidence moving forward in life, in Aris's case into the medical field, knowing that you have the ability to withstand and persist through difficulty is invaluable. Many people have blind confidence, this is measured confidence based on the knowledge of her experience. Thank you for the relentless support this season, Aris. The sky is the limit for you, kid. We're proud of the effort you gave and couldn't have done it this year without you.
