Today we focused on controlling our pencil, holding it correctly. Then we played a game listen and draw. We drew mommies, daddies, ourselves. Just making these faces was so much fun. We practiced strait lines, zig zag. We ended with writing our letter to our name. Proud moments with these smart kiddos!!

And we have begun. We are starting by writing our names!! We are also introducing our emotions, how we feel, and what we do with that. We also, on this beautiful rainy day, read a fun monster book. We decided we wanted to paint. All voted on using their hands and make it our monster. I do think it turned into more paint fun than monster fun, but fun was the key!!

We have begun our routine!! Love summer time but it sure feels good to get back into our "normal" routine. This week we are doing just that working on routine. Getting to know each other, some fun little activities too! Next week we will begin our curriculum. We are going to focus on letters, sounds the make, and writing them. We will do maybe 2 a week. I will keep them all and when we are complete we will have a book to bring home. We will also focus on numbers, identifying them. The most exciting thing they really want to do is write their names! So we will. I have shaving cream times, we have new pencils, we will do some cutting and gluing. We have alot of things planned. Play, we will also have lots of play time, this is important for us to grow as well. We work everyday on using our words, nice words and being okay with being sad, mad, or needing our space. I'm excited and sad. I looked at my group yesterday. They will all, but 3, be going to school next year. How did that happen? Hello and Welcome to SUMMER!!! With summer being here and more kiddos we will look a little different. During school we had our star system going, this was to get us ready for what was or is to come. My job is to prepare us for school setting. And have fun while learning expectations, consequences for actions and responsibility all while growing, learning and having fun. I want every child to feel loved and supported but we have to have expectations and guidelines. I always tell the kids I promise mom and dad I will keep them safe. I do have rules and high expectations this is to help me keep us safe and have healthy boundaries while still hopefully having fun. We will sit and have a little gathering this morning to discuss this summer. While this might sound overwhelming I do want fun. Here are a few things we will go over. Star system, my younger kiddos are who I will focus hard on, while school aged kiddos will get a star a day, getting to puck a prize 2 times a week. Littles will be everyday for a while in hopes we will move to 2x a week. Again in school their system is not a prize daily. Dani Jo's room will not be used for daycare. I tend to be hard on Dani in making her share her things when others ask, I also have high expectations on Dani which have not been fair to her. Older kiddos do go to her room during nap to watch tablets, this time door is open and that is what they choose to do, NEVER do they have too. Dani has no toys what she does have I don't allow her to get out during daycare hours due to in the past things being thrown or broke. Again this is on me. When/if we color it will be with daycare supplies, Dani too, so her art supplies are not used or broken. Dani and Adi are the boss of their space. I do have park trips planned, walks, and a picnic lunch planned too. I want a safe and fun summer, but with 12 kids daily we have to be a team and work as such. Thank you for allowing me to be part of every kiddos growing. I love what I do and love each kiddo. I'm excited for summer. I will leave with reminders of upcoming days off that we're on the paper I handed out a couple of months ago to everybody. Thank you!!!

Story today Cat and the Hat. I did Green eggs and ham last year, we had several turn green at the sight so I skipped that this year. We are working hard at learning that first letter name and sound at the beginning of our names, while throwing in there occasionally spelling our names. Don't come at me, I had no white paper, and I have never Saud I was an artist. We work with what we got and that's me and my abilities.🤣🤣 Tomorrow Fox in Socks and the #7 in our number books, which happen to be 7 socks.

We have been working hard on learning "our" letter. The letter our name begins with. Everybody can identify their letter, and we are so close to being able to say the letters name. We have also began our very own number book. We have all mastered counting to 10, now we are identifying 1-10. Once we have completed our books they will come home! Today we painted our number, and added some art work to our name tags. That's right today we began in finding our intire name!! My Littles are counting with us too, and we are working on colors. They just are not here today.
