In observance of Juneteenth, El Metro Transit will operate regular service on Friday, June 19, 2026, for both Fixed Route and El Lift/Paratransit services.

Please note:
✅ Fixed Route – Regular Service
✅ El Lift / Paratransit – Regular Service
❌ Customer Service Office – Closed
❌ Administrative Office – Closed

Our Administrative and Customer Service offices will resume normal operations following the Juneteenth observance.

Starting TODAY, our Kids on the Go program is officially live! That means free fares for students all summer long (through August 9th) to help keep our youth active and connected to our community.

To ride for free, students just need to show the bus driver one of these three accepted IDs:

1️⃣ Parks & Rec Key Card
2️⃣ El Metro Summer ID Card
3️⃣ Public Library ID Card

KIDS ON THE GO IS BACK, LAREDO!

From June 1st through August 9th, 2026, students and youth (ages 6–17) can ride El Metro Fixed Route buses absolutely FREE all summer long!

How to ride:
Just show your official El Metro ID, City Parks & Rec ID, or Laredo Public Library card when boarding.

Need your El Metro ID?
Bring a current school ID, recent report card, or class schedule to your nearest community center to grab yours. (Note: Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult). ($2.00 ID card fee)
