Hey friends! 2020 has been a wild year to say the least and I’ve all but vanished. That being said, the cool peeps over at are doing a free flight giveaway.

Hey travel family! I have been wanting to talk about Southwest credit cards for some time now.

Between now and February 18 (using the link in my profile), Southwest is running a promotion for their credit cards.

Diane and I used two of them in 2018 to fly Southwest for free over 10 times in the last 2 years, saving over $1,900 on tickets and allowing us to travel all over the United States. They also allowed us to get to LAX free so we could fly to Europe and Guatemala for cheap.

It’s without a doubt the best travel card decision we’ve made. I want to share this with all of you. Please use the reward link, as it is valid through Feb. 18th (longer than the public offer).

And if my description wasn’t enough, here are 10 reasons why you should consider getting a Southwest credit card:
1. Southwest is an amazing airline, and boarding is great for the newcomers
2. Free checked bags!
3. Great customer service
4. Card annual points pay for annual fee
5. Southwest has amazing sales, especially in and out of Caifornia
6. $1000 spend for 40k pts (in 3 months)
7. $5000 total spend for an additional 35k pts (in 6 months)
8. You could fly a family of 5 (likely more depending on the time of year) to California to visit Disneyland on the 40k sign-on bonus
9. Personal favorite: you can cancel and rebook flights whenever you want with no extra fees (this is HUGE)
10. The big kahuna: Companion Pass (if you earn 125k pts in a calendar year, you can take a companion with you on unlimited flights FREE for 2 calendar years...and you can just use points for first ticket)

Sometimes when you travel, it pays to stray off the beaten path and explore a bit. You never know when you might accidentally discover “magical moments.”

Diane and I didn’t realize that this tunnel reflected until we had taken the photos and looked at them. It was an awesome realization! This was simply a walking tunnel between 2 parking lots at Multnomah Falls parking lot in Oregon.
