1 July meeting
We have 4,156 members. MPA's and ATCT admin now allowed to join PASS, please promote.
Convention please sign up if you want to be a part.
Ballots are being sent out for members to elect President, treasure, district VP's.
9/11 stories are still being collected, can be from FAA, military, or civilian stories.
New Government affairs representative. Janna Denig, hope I spelled that right. HR 42 is being pushed- it keeps FAA from being furloughed during Government shutdowns.
Pay raise 2021 2.7% however, some Congressional representatives want it higher. Raises will take effect in January.
Travel MOA has been extended to Sept 2021 if you want to drive to OKC.
Juneteenth holiday pay- if you have issues get with union Rep to see if you should have received more pay.
OCC San Diego is scheduled to close.
Disciplinary/investigations are on the rise, get with your Union reps so you know your rights.
Folks questioning Centralized Maintenance Concept- it's already happening in other areas- test phase.
Telework/mask is still in place 19 July managers will turn in their plans on returning to normal, however, some places are seeing upticks in cases.
PASSMEMBER.NET not being used, spam, then folks were asked to supply a personal email, they were opening PASS mail on government computers and opening attachments, spreading spam on government computers. So we have to find better ways to get PASS information to our members.
So, this is how I am doing it. Please press like if you read this so I can count you at the quarterly meeting.
Thanks
Jose A. Jose Requena

I know not everyone was able to get on the chapter leaders call last night. I mentioned on the call the notice in PNN yesterday afternoon that we are trying to collect PASS members' experiences on 9/11 and the days following the attacks. The 20th anniversary is the day after the convention. Ideally, we'd like to publish those memories in the PASS Times and perhaps share with the media as I'm sure there will be a lot of attention leading up to the anniversary.

Attached is the notice we published in the last issue of PASS Times.

I also mentioned last night that the national office is not sending bulk emails to passmember.net addresses because of the hacking/spoofing issues we've had over the last year (although the system is still up and running!). If you are not receiving PASS News Now, the Legislative Update or convention emails from the national office, we may not have your correct personal email. Please use this form (and share with other members!) to sign up. PASS does not sell or rent its email list.

PASS NV3 1 June 2021
Every first Tuesday of the month are the Region 3 PASS meetings.
1. PP-13 will include the 1.6%. SF-50's, it is up to you to check your SF-50 for pay raises. Some employees on details did not receive pay raises.
2. NATCA put out an Moa for mask. PASS did not feel they should because we follow the CDC guidelines.
3. Travel to OKC resumes in July.
4. Travel cards. We switched to a new user. Some individuals purchased their tickets on their own cards. They were then responsible for paying off that debt. If this is you please contact a Region Rep to get the correct paperwork to file on getting reimbursed.
5. Ladder Safety Systems. Currently of the Dyna Glide is authorized. Carrier sleeves are to be ANSE Z 359-162 rated.
6. Fatigue MOA. PASS and the Agency are not in agreement with the 9 hours before and the 9 hours after rest requirement. Grievances have been filed.
7. Sept. 9-10 Convention. See your Rep if your interested.

A moment of silence for those we lost in battle. Remember the families that sacrificed the most this Memorial Day.

Many have asked that I have a meeting on pay disparity, Joan and Monica would be happy to explain any unanswered questions. My question is when is the best time to have one??? Many zoom subscribers can’t get on, so I’m thinking a call in. Any suggestions?

***Updated*** District Representative TELCON with PASS today. 4-15-2021
1) IPI still exist, they did not go away. It was just clarified that the agency can't be forced to go above the 5% mandated by the CBA.
2) I and J bands were apart of PASS initial proposal, it had a chart like H bands in PASS initial proposal to the Agency. The Agency said no. When I say Agency that is a broad term, not Jeff, but other parts specifically Finance.
3)Teir pay was stopped by the Agency, not PASS. Again Finance said the cost was too great.
4) Pay was not taken away or negotiated lower by the Union or By Jeff Planty's team, people have to realize everything that Jeff wanted and PASS wanted still had to be run past a multitude of other departments within the Agency. Those same departments that originally started the lowball hiring practices.
5) Some parts of the Agency wanted to recend the initial Memo. The fact we have a Union and field a grievance protected that.
6) For as many texts, private messages and calls that I recieved from people complaining, I got that many or more from people overwhelmed and happy that they are getting a huge raise.
This fixes the bottom of the bands and prevents low ball hiring from happening permanently, it's an agreement not a memo that can not be recended. Now moving forward in 2022 CBA negotiations we can work to make others whole.
There were some of our colleagues doing this work for grossly undervalued wages. I know some of you suffered through the years and finally made it to a decent wage, but that doesn't mean we leave all these others to do the same. It is a huge portion of our workforce affected by this. We should be happy for them.
