Good Afternoon,
As I’ve said before, it is clear that Transdev is not here to work with us. Their actions show they are targeting operators, mechanics, fuelers, and cleaners alike. The recent wave of enforcement around speed compliance and yellow/red light monitoring has created intense pressure on operators, and many are now feeling the impact through disciplinary actions.
We fully support safe operations—safety is the foundation of our profession. But we must also acknowledge the real-world conditions our operators face every single day. The company cannot demand perfection while ignoring the realities of traffic, road conditions, passenger needs, and unrealistic schedules.
From this point forward, every operator must prioritize safety above all else.
That means:
Operating at safe, compliant speeds at all times
Slowing down when approaching green lights
Accepting that delays may occur
Understanding that interlined routes may be affected
Never compromising safety to meet unrealistic time expectations
If running late is the result of safe operation, document it. Use the proper procedures. Protect yourself.
Our health, safety, and well-being are not negotiable. They are priceless.
Your Rights Matter
We are seeing write-ups that contain errors, inconsistencies, and in some cases, grounds for dismissal entirely. Because of this:
ALWAYS ask for a union representative.
NEVER argue with management.
If they deny your request for representation, inform the union immediately.
This is your legal right. Use it.
Unity Is Our Strength
We remain professional. We remain united. And no matter what challenges they put in front of us, we stand together—push, pull, or drag—we are one.
Let’s continue to operate responsibly, stand firm, and uphold the standards that protect every worker in this system.
In Solidarity,
ATU 1637 President / BA
William T. Lynn Jr.
