Camping Thanksgiving weekend.
Come and join for the first trail team meet up / camping outside of California in the Carson Valley at private Black Diamond Ranch ()

What are we doing that weekend?
Just Camp, share stories at camp fire Meet new/ old friends and enjoy the great outdoor.
Friendly pets are welcome!

No trail run/ this is a private property all rules must be respected
Pack in Pack out

4x4 truck / van required
Bring your own food and if wish bring some to share. ( There is Grocery stores in town )

Weather: 14-50 F
Bring warm cloths.

Overland build series on 1997 Lx450 (1FZ)
The build was carefully though out on this 23 yrs. old truck even with a low mi of 63k original.
Although the 1FZ is a robust engine, the weak side is keeping it cool especially due to age. So on this short series the focus is on making sure the engine stay cool!
The radiator on the ‘97 Lx from the factory is aluminum. With this build I selected to go to an older year ‘94 radiator that came with 3 row copper and is available through your local Toyota Dealer. I’m a proponent of OEM part since this is a long distance travel not a race vehicle.

1. Radiator 16400-6604
2. Clutch Fan
3. All new belts
4. All new coolant hoses lower & upper radiator.
5. Water pump
6. Thermostat

The next part of series is the Heating System. Stay tune.
