Custom blend unloaded in Gardner, KS today!

Most guys know us for custom dry blending, but did you know we specialize in custom liquid blending too?!

This soybean foliar blend started with a low salt, 100% ortho 3-15-19-3S base created from 3-18-18 and KTS 0-0-25-17S, then customized with manganese, boron, zinc, sugar, fulvic acid, and a plant growth regulator based on the customer’s goals.

We match soil tests, tissue tests, and your goals. The options are endless. We can build specific N-P-K-S ratios, micronutrients, sugars, fulvic acid, plant growth regulators, and now liquid humic acid too!

In-furrow. Side dress. Y-drop. UAN + micros. 2x2. Closing wheel dribble. Foliar feeding. Burndown fertility. Strip till. NH3 bars.

Let’s stop the shotgun approach and build fertility around what the crop actually needs.

Calcium: It isn’t a yield builder… it’s a foundation setter. (Part 5)

I see calcium pushed as a “micronutrient fix” — but if your soil test isn’t calling for it, you’re chasing the wrong lever.

Calcium’s role:
• Stronger cell walls → better standability
• Root development & nutrient movement
• Soil structure (when pH is right)

Here’s the key:
Calcium doesn’t fix low pH — lime does.

Ag lime is calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). When applied, it reacts with hydrogen (acidity) in the soil, neutralizes it, and raises pH. That reaction also frees up tied-up nutrients (P, micros) and improves soil structure over time.

Just adding calcium without that carbonate reaction doesn’t change pH — so you’re not fixing the root problem.

If pH and base saturation are in line, calcium usually isn’t your yield limiter.
There are almost always better ROI plays.

Test first. Spend second.

Perfect window yesterday morning in Osage County — and we took it.

Corn plot is in: Beck’s Hybrids vs three competitors. Same planter. Same population. Same conditions.

No adjustments. No excuses.

This is where the real differences show up — emergence, uniformity, consistency.

We’ll track it all season and share what we see.
