At RWB Trucking, Autism Awareness Month this April meant more than recognition, it meant action.
One of our own, shared her story about her son Daniel, who is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum. Like many families, Angie has experienced firsthand the challenges and the incredible progress that come with early intervention, therapy, and the right support system.
As a team, we came together to support a cause close to her heart: helping create a more inclusive, sensory-friendly environment for children like Daniel.
Through donations and collaboration with bookstore in Frankfort, IL, we’re helping build a space where kids can feel comfortable, explore, and simply be themselves, complete with sensory bins, fidgets, and calming activities. This effort will also support a monthly sensory-friendly story time beginning this summer.
What stood out most wasn’t just the donations, it was the response from our team. The willingness to show up, learn, and support one another beyond the day-to-day.
Proud of this group. Proud to support awareness, accessibility, and acceptance.
