Women’s Ride Tonight. 5pm meet-up in front of the shop!

Details:
Tonight’s ride will mostly follow the paved surface of the Lewes-Georgetown Trail. We’ll cover approximately 16 miles at a moderate 12–15 mph pace.

The Ride starts and finishes at the shop, with the option to stop at Lewes Brewing Company on the way back for anyone looking to hang out afterward.

Helmets are required, lights encouraged.

The shop is closed today while we enjoy the holiday with family and friends.

The weather this weekend may have been more “gray skies and sweatshirts” than kickoff-to-summer… but we’re rolling with it.

And while today marks the unofficial start of summer, it’s also a day to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

“Still has tread” doesn’t always mean “still good.”
The tire on the right may look okay at first glance… but the sidewall is completely dry rotted and separating from the casing. That’s a blowout waiting to happen.

Bike tires age out just like car tires — especially if the bike sits in a garage, shed, or outside through changing temperatures and humidity.

Signs your tires may need replacing:
• Cracks in the rubber
• Dry or faded sidewalls
• Fraying threads showing through
• Frequent flats
• Tires older than 5–7 years

Not sure if your bike is safe to ride? Bring it by and we’ll take a look. A quick tire check is a lot cheaper than dealing with a blowout mid-ride.

Ride to Work Day is this Friday!

The Lewes Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee is hosting Lewes’ Annual Ride to Work Day this Friday, May 15th at 8AM.

After a 5 mile cruise through Lewes the ride finishes back at City Hall. Stick around afterward for bagels, coffee, and a chance to chat with committee members about the work they’re doing to support and improve bike-friendly Lewes.

No registration required. Just show up and ride!
