We may not have a whole air show planned, but this Saturday 12/9 we will get together for our at 6PM in our hangar at 270 O'Connor Road. We'll have food and a white elephant gift exchange! As usual, we'll also try to raise some money for the local children's home.

64 years ago one simple meeting started what would be our vibrant community of aviation enthusiasts. Wish us , the EAA turns 64 today! As normal on Thursdays we get together to have coffee and talk about aviation, but today we also get to raise a cup to our growing family. Cheers to sharing ! Have you heard of "Josie the Riveter"? Josie Dunn, raised in a poor family in Oklahoma, came to Seattle in 1943 at age 24 in a wave of young black women hired to build bomber aircraft in Boeing’s factories as a crucial part of the U.S. war effort. If you love aircraft, history, and biographies this is a great read!

Josie Dunn grew up picking cotton in Oklahoma and was among the first African Americans hired by Boeing. “Josie the Riveter” worked at Boeing for nearly 38 years.
