“I’ll just book it myself.” 😉

And you absolutely can… but here’s why you may want to think twice.

I recently had a client reach out after they had already booked their stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman on their own. They asked if it was something I could help with, so I quickly checked my preferred partner rates and amenities.

Not only was I able to secure the SAME rate they had booked themselves, but their stay now includes:

✨ Daily breakfast for two
✨ A resort credit to enjoy during their stay
✨ Priority for a room upgrade, based on availability
✨ A little extra VIP attention behind the scenes

And this is where having a travel advisor really starts to make a difference.

Because I recently visited Grand Cayman and The Ritz-Carlton myself, I was also able to reach out directly to the hotel partners I connected with while I was there to let them know my clients are coming and see what else we can do to make their stay extra special.

And now, they have more than just a hotel reservation. They have a travel advisor helping with the rest of their trip too. From tours and excursions to dining recommendations and reservations, I can help take care of all those little details that turn a getaway into a seamless vacation.

Now they just get to show up and enjoy it. ✨

Sure, you can book the room yourself. It’s easy.

But my job isn’t simply to book you a hotel room. It’s to use my partnerships, connections and firsthand knowledge to turn that hotel stay into an experience.

Sometimes the best value I can add to your trip doesn’t cost you anything extra at all.

Thinking about a luxury hotel stay? Before you hit “book,” send it my way. You might be surprised by what I can add. 🤍

Lake Como is beautiful. It's also busier than it's ever been. Five lakes I love that still feel like a discovery:

- Lake Garda, Italy: the biggest of the Italian lakes, with lemon groves, medieval towns like Sirmione, and a livelier energy than its famous neighbor.
- Lake Lugano, Switzerland: Italian soul, Swiss polish. Palm trees on the promenade, mountains rising straight out of the water, and Milan just an hour away.
- Lake Lucerne, Switzerland: steamboats, mountain railways, and Belle Époque hotels along the shore.
- Lake Bled, Slovenia: the fairytale one, complete with an island church and a clifftop castle.
- Lake Bohinj, Slovenia: Bled's wilder sibling just 30 minutes away, ringed by the Julian Alps and blissfully free of crowds.

Every one of these pairs beautifully with a bigger itinerary. Tell me which caught your eye and I'll build around it.

Last night we had the opportunity to welcome our Viking Cruises partner, Mario, all the way from California for an exclusive event with our Nova Travel Collective clients! 🛳️✨

Viking offers such an incredible variety of ways to explore the world, from European river cruises and ocean voyages to the Great Lakes and expedition sailings to some of the world’s most unique destinations.

A few things that make Viking stand out:

✨ Adults only
✨ No casinos
✨ No nickel-and-diming
✨ A shore excursion included in every port
✨ Wi-Fi included
✨ Beer & wine included with lunch and dinner
✨ Destination-focused itineraries designed to truly experience each place you visit

One of my favorite things about Viking is how much is already included, making the experience feel seamless from the moment you step onboard.

As a preferred Viking partner, we also have access to exclusive offers and amenities for our clients. If a river, ocean or expedition cruise has been on your travel wish list, I’d love to help you find the perfect itinerary! 🌎🛳️

Booking just a hotel? Here’s something most travelers don’t know: working with a travel advisor usually costs the same as booking it yourself online.

Same rate. Very different experience.

When I book your hotel, my industry partnerships often add things the booking sites can’t: room upgrades when available, daily breakfast, resort or spa credits, and priority for early check-in and late checkout.

You also get a human. If your flight cancels or the hotel oversells, you’re not on hold with a call center. You have someone who knows you, knows the property, and can fix it fast.

And because I know these hotels personally, I’ll tell you which room category is actually worth it and which building to request. The booking site definitely won’t.

Next time you’re booking a hotel, send me a message first. It takes five minutes, and the difference is real.

The whole family, one roof, zero hotel hallways. Private villas are how my favorite families do the festive season, and the best ones are booking right now.

A villa solves what hotels can't for multi-generational trips: everyone together under one roof, a private chef instead of restaurant reservations for twelve, space for the grandparents to nap and the kids to run.

Where I'm sending families this year: jungle villas in Costa Rica with monkeys in the trees, catered chalets in the Alps with ski-in access, staffed oceanfront estates in Cabo, villa compounds in Hawaii where three generations can spread out, and private safari villas in South Africa with their own guide and vehicle.

Festive villas require the longest lead time of anything I book. The question worth asking at the dinner table this month: where does the whole family want to wake up this holiday season?

Planning Portugal and only thinking about Lisbon? Allow me to make the case for the north.

Porto is one of Europe’s great second cities, and Infante Sagres is its grande dame.

Opened in 1951 as the city’s first luxury hotel, it has hosted royalty, heads of state, and film stars ever since. The stained-glass staircase alone is worth walking up and down twice.

The location is the other reason I book it: you’re in the heart of downtown, an easy walk to Livraria Lello, the Ribeira riverfront, and the port wine lodges across the river in Gaia.

Insider tip: pair Porto with the Douro Valley, about 90 minutes away, for wine country after the city. Reach out to start planning.

Give me 24 hours in Paris and here’s exactly how I’d spend them:

Morning: coffee and a croissant at a neighborhood café, then the Musée d’Orsay right at opening, before the crowds fill the impressionist galleries.

Midday: lunch in Saint-Germain, then wander the Marais. Boutiques, galleries, and the prettiest squares in the city.

Golden hour: a private boat on the Seine as the light turns and the Eiffel Tower begins to sparkle.

Evening: dinner at a bistro where the menu is handwritten and the waiter argues with you about the wine. In the best way.

Twenty-four hours or a full week, I’ll make every one count. Get in touch to plan Paris.

Some destinations stay under the radar for years. Then a few new hotels open, the experience starts to elevate, and suddenly everyone is paying attention.

Our advice? Go before that happens. Right now, these are the places we’re watching closely:

Puglia, Italy: White villages, olive groves, and a coastline that still feels relaxed compared to the Amalfi Coast. Four Seasons is set to open a major beachfront resort here, and other luxury brands are beginning to follow.

Okinawa: Japan’s subtropical island chain feels completely different from Tokyo or Kyoto. Clear water, island culture, and a slower pace. Luxury brands like Rosewood and other high-end resorts are expanding across the islands, bringing a new level of accommodation to the region.

Laos: Often described as the quieter side of Southeast Asia, Laos offers Buddhist temples, riverside towns like Luang Prabang, and a slower, more immersive pace. Luxury hotels are beginning to reinvest in the destination, with Aman and other boutique operators elevating the experience without changing its character.

These places will not stay under the radar forever. Experiencing them now is part of the magic. Let’s start planning!

It keeps showing up at the top of Caribbean rankings. Most people have never heard of it.

Hermitage Bay has landed on the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List and Travel + Leisure's World's Best Hotels list more than once, and it's not hard to understand why. Thirty suites maximum, adults only (16+), and every single one faces the ocean.

Private plunge pools, daily changing menus built around produce from the resort's own garden, a Tree Bar literally constructed around the trunk of a tree, and a clear-bottomed kayak you can take out any time are included in the rate.

The day trip to Barbuda for lunch at Nobu on Princess Diana Beach is one of the best advisor recommendations I make anywhere in the Caribbean.

Antigua also delivers well beyond the resort. English Harbor, 365 beaches, and some of the best sailing culture in the Eastern Caribbean are all worth building time around.

If the Caribbean is on your list this year, message me to start planning!

Most people put Australia on the list and never quite get around to booking it. Here's your sign.

The range in one country is remarkable. World-class cities, ancient wilderness, extraordinary marine life, and a food and wine culture that consistently surprises first-time visitors.

The only thing worse than never going to Australia is waiting another year to start planning it. Message me to get started!
