Way to go Drew!

The Lincoln Police Department would like to recognize and congratulate one of our own for recently receiving the Outstanding Actions & Life Saving Award from the Massachusetts State Police.

Back in March, Officer Formalarie was on duty at his secondary job as a ski patroller for Loon Mountain when an off-duty Massachusetts State Police Sergeant suffered severe injuries while skiing. Officer Formalarie, who was patrolling the mountain at the time, located the injured sergeant and immediately administered lifesaving measures. The patient was subsequently airlifted to a trauma hospital.

It was unanimously agreed that without Officer Formalarie’s quick response, medical expertise, and decisive action, the patient may not have survived. We are proud to commend Officer Formalarie for his exceptional professionalism and dedication to public safety.

Pictured in the photo are several individuals who also played vital roles in helping save the patient’s life, including one of our newly hired officers, Dan Tousignant, who also serves as a ski patroller. More information on Dan in a future post!

Look, if you were a Plymouth State kid from the late 90's up until 2017, Margie probably made you a bagel in the HUB at some point. I know she made more than one for me on a hungover morning. I can't tell you how crucial those bagels were on the drive to the slopes after an evening of partying.

She'll be missed by many in the Plymouth community.

Quick reminder. Yes, the leaves are pretty right now. Travel times on the Kanc this weekend typically run 4-5 hours from Lincoln to North Conway. There are no food, fuel, or bathroom stops along the way. Restaurants at both ends will have 2-3 hour waits.

Plan accordingly and remember to treat those in town nicely. You’re visiting their homes and workplaces.
