This morning 3 members of LSSC were joined by 3 members of Penobscot Off-Road Riders to deck one of the approaches to the bridge over Marsh Creek located on ITS 82 near Access Road. Earlier in the week the understructure was replaced by Terry & Dave S. of LSSC. Thanks to Dave N. from PORR for assisting in acquiring the poles used under this ramp. This is another bridge on a trail that PORR does not currently use but offered assistance on. This bridge , however, may become part of their trail network in the future. Thanks to all involved! Another project checked off on the seemingly endless list...

LSSC will be doing a work detail this Sunday October 18, 2026. Meet at the clubhouse at 9:00 AM SHARP to help load bridge planks. The project is to redeck an approach ramp to the bridge over Marsh Creek on ITS 82 located off Access Road. Terry will have his tractor at the work site to transport the planks from Access Road to the bridge. We're using screws on the bridges now so bring your rechargeable drill/drivers and T30 bits. We hope to see YOU on Sunday morning!

Members of LSSC will be selling tickets for our 2nd Annual 50/50 Raffle with a cash prize of up to $2,500 right outside Steaks-n-Stuff in Lincoln, Maine on Friday October 16 & Saturday October 17, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

Tickets are $20 each with a maximum of 250 tickets being sold. If all 250 tickets sell the cash prize will be $2,500. If less than 250 tickets are sold the cash prize will be half of all ticket sales at the time of the drawing. The lucky winner will be drawn at the Club's December meeting, tentatively set for Sunday December 6, 2026.

WHO COULDN'T USE AN "EXTRA" $2,500 JUST A COUPLE OF WEEKS BEFORE CHRISTMAS ???

This morning (3) members of LSSC and (6) members of Penobscot Off-Road Riders worked on placing new decking and side rails on this bridge located on ITS 81 just off Route 6 near Half Township Road. It only took them 1-1/2 hours, with the exception of some ground work on the approaches that remains to be done. Thank you to all who helped, but especially the guys from PORR as this is not even on a trail that they use! "Team work makes the dream work!"

LSSC bridge work on ITS 81 Sunday September 20, 2026

Dave and Terry have removed the old bridge and materials delivered to the site. They plan on finishing up the prep for the new deck Friday morning. They would like to get a crew together to install the new decking on Sunday morning 9/20 at 9:00 AM, meeting at the end of the Tobin Brook Road (off of Route 6 / Lee Road across from Half Township Road). They will be using screws to secur the decking so if you have a cordless driver, bring it along with spare batteries and a T30 torx bit if you have them. This is the biggest project for this year and any help would be appreciated thanks. Hope to see you there on Sunday!

LSSC members will be selling 50/50 tickets outside Steaks 'n Stuff in Lincoln, Maine on Thursday & Friday September 10 & 11, 2026 starting at 10:00 AM each day. Tickets are $20 each with a maximum of 250 tickets being sold. If all 250 tickets sell then the cash prize will be $2,500. The drawing will take place at the club's December meeting.

Who couldn't use an extra $2,500 just a couple of weeks before Christmas?

Terry has been busy getting our new side-by-side set up to carry everything we need to get out on the trails and hang some signs.Thanks Terry!

This morning, Sunday August 9, 2026, several members of Lincoln Snowhounds Snowmobile Club and Penobscot Off-Road Riders ATV club joined forces to repair the approaches to Fish Pond bridge which is located on the trail between Why Not Stop and Airport Road. Just another example of what can be accomplished when the two clubs work together.

LSSC is pleased to announce that Velvet Cole was the lucky winner of the beautiful patriotic co****le set made by Terry Berube and donated to the Club to raffle off! Pictured is Velvet's son Walker Mushero who was in the area and stopped by to pick up his Mom's prize shortly after it was drawn at 1:00 pm this afternoon. Enjoy your co****le set!

Also thank you to everyone who purchased the $20 - 50/50 tickets. The club is selling up to (250) $20 tickets for a potential cash prize of $2,500 if all (250) tickets are sold. We are off to a great start with approximately (50) tickets sold so far. Tickets will be available until all (250) are sold or until the drawing of the lucky winner at the December club meeting, just in time to make for a nice Christmas for the lucky winner. Tickets will be on sale at various locations throughout town between now and the time of the drawing. You can also reach out to club members or to the club on Facebook Messenger. We do have VENMO for easy payments.
