🚣‍♂️🌿 Spring Paddle at Lake Bistineau – April 18th! 🌿🚣‍♀️

The Spring Paddle on Lake Bistineau is set for Saturday, April 18th, and it’s shaping up to be a great morning on the water! Grab your friends and family and come enjoy the beautiful cypress trees, spring colors, and peaceful scenery Lake Bistineau has to offer.

📍 Launch & Finish Location:
Lake Bistineau State Park – Pavilion 1
103 State Park Road
Doyline, LA

🛶 Paddle Details:
• Approx. 5 mile out-and-back route
• Perfect for beginners, families, and experienced paddlers
• Paddle direction will be chosen the morning of the event

⏰ Event Schedule:
• Registration: 8:00 – 8:30 AM
• Safety Briefing: 8:30 AM
• Paddles in the Water: 9:00 AM
• On-Water Sweep Begins: 10:30 AM

🎉 Post-Paddle Fun:
Stick around after the paddle for food, live music, and vendors from 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM, including a fish fry and entertainment by Joseph Lee & Friends.

As we start cleaning up the barges, scraping the “snow” out of the kayaks 😜, blocking ice for snowcones, and getting all those water toys ready… we’re realizing something…

We might need a little more help this summer 👀

Due to recent weather conditions… our kayaks have officially been upgraded to multi-season equipment.

That’s right.
Water? ✅
Ice? …we’re testing it 😅

If you see someone trying to use a kayak as a sled down the hill — just know that is NOT covered under the rental agreement.

Kayaks are for paddling… not polar plunging or Olympic downhill trials 🥶😂

Y’all stay warm, stay safe, and maybe let’s keep the sledding to actual sleds.

When the lake thaws out, we’ll be ready. Until then… somebody hide the paddles.
