Rouen, France, the historic capital of Normandy, has a history that spans over 2000 years. It was where Richard the Lionheart was crowned Duke of Normandy, and Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. Much of Rouen was sadly destroyed in World War II, however much of the city has been faithfully restored, including the striking Old Town.
