He's on the small side, 14.3h. He is put together like a foundation QH. He has the Reiner look with the nice hip and can pivot and turn athletically. He has professional ranch horse training and is a finished ranch horse by Mangold Ranch. He was then sent for 30 days of reining training with a professional NRHA trainer. He would make an amazing youth reiner with some finishing. He was broken in by a Mangold family member who was only 13 years old at the time. She is now going to college and so he needs his own attention and a job for the future. This gelding can sit for months and you pull him out of the pasture and he is the same horse every time. After a few rides or sessions with the same person he crafts a bond that is like no other. He really is too talented for a flat beginner. He has been ridden all across NY on many trails and adventures. He is quite confident and would make someone a great ranch horse extraordinaire. He did amazing at the open shows in trail & ranch versatility a few years ago. He has a ranch/reining handle and is very handy. This horse can neck rein on auto pilot. G rides awesome on trail or the arena in nothing but a rope halter if you want. He is upper level trained with fancy bits, too. He stops and goes off seat and legs. He’s a lot of fun to spin. He has a solid flying lead change, he side passes smoothly, he’s easy to rate, and his gaits are smoother than riding a gaited horse on trail. He can jog as slow as you want and you don’t move in your seat, and his lope is slow and collected. I will say that this is a horse that really needs one person or a family that’s got a western ranchy background like the Mangolds. This horse is worth his weight in gold to the right person. You can take him anywhere and do just about anything you can imagine with him. The willingness to put the effort into him and ability to lead with purpose is way more important to Little G than whether you can fly around a barrel pattern at 900 miles an hour without falling off him. He is athletic and loves a job or could just be the best trail horse you ever had. Once he gets you, it doesn’t matter what your plans are.If you want to come see him, please send us a DM to make an appointment at your leisure. Fun times with G: -Mangold Ranch events with hundreds of people meeting and greeting him-Halloween parties where he’s dressed up and ridden through the woods at dark to spook the guests on hay rides-parades-he has done EquiFest in Hamburg NY- he’s one of our demo horses for our Mangold ClinicsThanks for the long read! Would love for G to have a person. Open to leasing him on property as well- just don’t want him sitting and not having someone! Thanks

Great Kids Horse
Loves the trail!
He is great for anyone that enjoys a horse that just does what you say and enjoys every minute! We would love to find someone interested in keeping him with us at the ranch! We will be missing this guy! He is a rockstar in all of our programs! Looking for the perfect kids or grandparents horse- this guy is IT!

Here’s his listing:
Buzz
Red Roan QH Gelding
9 years old
Barefoot & Easy Keeper
Buzz just loves the kiddos and they love him right back!
Buzz is your kids our grandpa’s horse extraordinaire. He is the all around family horse that will do any job easily. He is a cute, round, 14.3 h tall little pork chop that loves the trail and adventures! He is owned by a gentlemen that has trail ridden him and enjoyed riding around his property but unfortunately his family has moved to Texas and Buzz needs a new loving home. Buzz has been professionally trained at Mangold Ranch and is currently being worked and used for lessons and trail activites. He is ridden in nothing but a rope halter mostly and moves off the leg very easily. He neck reins very well, and he is great for beginner riders. Buzz does well with lots going on, he is thoroughly desensitized and does great with our therapy program at the ranch. Buzz has a great set of skills derived from natural horsemanship training. Buzz is a great teacher and is great for beinner riders. Buzz would excel in open shows and has the slowest little jog, he has a fancy log trot, and a very slow relaxed lope.
Looking to find him the perfect match, also would love to keep him living at the ranch- he is a very easy keeper and is kind out in the herd of horses.
Our Signature ranch horses come with foundation training, including:
Free lunging and joining up
Lunging on a line in both directions
Ground driving with a saddle
Desensitization to children, vehicles, dogs, trail distractions, and unexpected objects
Standing tied patiently and quietly
Loading and trailering calmly
Stopping on command
Riding in both a rope halter and a bit
Accepting clipping, bathing, farrier care, and basic veterinary attention
