Their achievements is certainly link to their hard work training and their talent, but also underscore our commitment to excellence with our Pro-Process-Product teamwork, where we design, we test, we listen comments, we design again, and finally release an advance product helping to push the limit and progress.
Join us in applauding Maximilian Maeder, Lauriane Nolot, and Luuc Van Opzeeland for their extraordinary accomplishments!
Maximilian Maeder 1st Kitefoil Men
Maximilian Maeder 1st Kitefoil Men
Congratulations to Maximilian Maeder on his victory at the KiteFoil World.
Well done for this incredible performance.
At the age of 11, he dreamed of becoming a kitesurfing star. Five years later, he is the youngest Olympic sailing world champion.
On the day of his medal, he's focused, music to his ears. Classics and punk are the order of the day. When his rival Toni Vodisek pulled out mid-race, Maeder's thoughts might have echoed "Should I Stay or Should I Go" by The Clash. He appreciated the diversity of the music, particularly the theme from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Humble but determined, Maeder has a unique life. Born in Singapore, he lives in Switzerland, Wakatobi in Indonesia and Croatia. Training with Martin Dolenc, he devotes more than 400 hours a year to kitesurfing, while home-schooling under Jemima Crathorne's guidance in environmental science.
Next, the Asian Games, crucial for Asia. Then the Olympic Games. Maeder prefers consistency to gold. He quotes F1 champion Jackie Stewart: "Universal success" is long-term consistency.
In the evolution of kitefoiling, Maeder considers mental concentration to be essential. His quest is like that of the craftsmen. It's never finished, but the rewards abound.

Lauriane Nolot 1st Kitefoil Women
Congratulations to Lauriane Nolot on her victory at the 2023 KiteFoil World Championship.
Well done for this incredible performance for the kitefoil queen.
Nolot crushes the competition
The rider from Var was well ahead of her three British rivals Eleanor Aldridge, Lily Young and Katie Dabson, having won ten of the sixteen qualifying heats. All she needed was a win in the final to clinch the world title, which she achieved in the very first race. An impressive, accomplished performance in this new Olympic discipline, one year ahead of the Games.
Lauriane Nolot, who already won the World Cup events in Palma and Hyères in April and the test event in Marseille last month, is now even more of a favourite for the Olympic title on home soil, a year from now.
