Additionally, Route 2T operators will accommodate riders needing transportation within the Mirador Community while Route 2M service is suspended.

A note from James Barela, Transit Manager of ACT: โ€œSuspending these services is a difficult decision because we understand how important and widely used, they are by our residents. Due to the shortage of trained and qualified drivers, our supervisors and dispatch staff have been driving routes daily to maintain service. While they have stepped up tremendously, it has limited the time available to properly train our recently hired drivers before they can be placed into service. This situation has stretched our existing staff significantly. I want to thank the entire team at Atomic City Transit for their dedication, flexibility, and professionalism during this challenging time. This decision was made after discussions with staff and supervisors, with the goal of maintaining safe and reliable service where possible. We appreciate the publicโ€™s patience and understanding. If you know someone interested in becoming a driver for Atomic City Transit, we encourage them to apply through the County website.โ€
