Friends of the Library of Los Altos The principal source of income of the Friends of the Library is the sale of donated books. Gently used and new books of all types are appreciated.

The Friends of the Library is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization that raises funds to support the Los Altos Libraries, primarily by selling donated books. Recent books are particularly welcome. We also accept CDs, DVDs, puzzles and games. Note: We are unable to resell badly damaged books, VCR and cassette tapes, Readers Digest condensed books, magazines, or encyclopedias that are more than 5

years old. Bring books to the Donation Room at the left end of the Los Altos Main Library lobby (map). Inside the Donation Room you will find empty boxes and a hand truck that you can use to transport your donation from your car to the library. Donations are tax deductible.
