We are deeply saddened by the passing of our 2019 People Power Progress Gala awardee, Jason Collins.

As the first openly gay player in NBA history, Jason was a trailblazer whose courage and advocacy helped pave the way for greater representation and inclusion in sports and beyond.

We send our deepest condolences to his family, loved ones, and all those mourning this heartbreaking loss. Rest in power, Jason.

Last week, we had the honor of celebrating the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, and caregivers who show up for us in every space with strength, love, and grace. These women hold generations together, pour endlessly into our communities, and continue to lead with care and resilience. ✨
