Universal’s CineSational nighttime show?

It’s basically a giant movie soundtrack celebration with fountains, projection effects, lighting, and scenes/music from things like:
🪄 Harry Potter
🦖 Jurassic World
🦈 Jaws
(and more)

Universal describes it as a “cinematic journey for your senses,” which honestly feels accurate considering there are dancing fountains, giant projection effects, music swelling dramatically, and probably at least one moment where somebody in your group goes: “Wait… why am I tearing up at a dinosaur soundtrack?”

Very relatable behavior, honestly.

Magic Kingdom is magical… but it can also be A LOT sensory-wise, depending on the attraction.

Disney actually breaks down sensory details for attractions now, including things like loud noises, darkness, sudden movement, lighting effects, water effects, and even “elements of surprise.”

Here are a few highlights:

🚀 Space Mountain
This one includes sudden drops and sharp turns in almost complete darkness.
(And yes, I am still mentally preparing myself every single time I ride it.)

🐸 Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Water ride + loud sounds + darkness + sudden drops + getting wet.
Absolutely beautiful attraction, but probably not ideal if someone in your group is already overstimulated.

🎭 Mickey’s PhilharMagic
This surprises people sometimes because it’s “just a show,” but it includes 3D effects, loud sounds, darkness, air bursts, and brief water spray.

🚂 Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
A smoother coaster overall, but still includes loud noises, sharp turns, darkness, and sudden drops.

👻 Haunted Mansion
Not physically intense, but definitely includes darkness, loud sounds, and surprise elements throughout the ride.

And honestly, this is exactly why I always tell people:
There is absolutely nothing wrong with splitting up for attractions, taking breaks, skipping rides, or changing plans mid-day.

Disney is supposed to be FUN, not an endurance sport.

What does Universal Orlando’s Mega Movie Parade have to offer?

🦈 Jaws
🚲 E.T.
🦖 Jurassic Park
🌈 Trolls
…and more all rolled into one daytime parade at Universal Studios Florida.

And listen, there is just something deeply funny to me about the emotional whiplash of: “aww, Poppy” immediately followed by, “OH GOD THE SHARK.”
(How many bets they pulled out the old ride props for this one?)

Universal describes it as “high energy excitement with film faves on parade,” which feels accurate.

This seems like one of those things that would be REALLY fun to build into a slower-paced park afternoon instead of sprinting ride-to-ride all day.

Find a snack.
Sit on the curb.
Wave at dinosaurs.
Heal your inner child a little.

We’ve talked about Disney cruises, Disney parks, and all things “Disney Bubble,” but one thing I think a lot of people don’t realize is that Disney also does guided vacations all over the world through Adventures by Disney.

We’re talking:
🌏 Japan
🌍 Iceland
🌍 Italy
🌍 Greece
🌍 South Africa
🌎 Peru
🌎 Alaska
🌎 the Canadian Rockies
…literally all over the world.

But what really makes Adventures by Disney stand out is HOW they travel.

You still get the Disney-level service and attention to detail, but mixed with local guides, cultural experiences, VIP access opportunities, privately guided tours, and someone else handling all the logistics for you.

So instead of stressing about transportation, tickets, language barriers, schedules, or trying to figure out if you’re accidentally about to get on the wrong train in another country, you just… enjoy the trip.

It's very geared toward people (like myself) who want to travel internationally but don’t necessarily want the stress of planning every tiny detail themselves.

Disney also currently has an early booking offer running for select 2027 and 2028 Adventures by Disney land departures:
💰 save $500 per person
💰 PLUS reduced deposits through July 31, 2026 (2 months from today!)

If you want to learn more about Adventures by Disney, compare itineraries, or just see what destinations might fit your travel style best, send me a message! My planning services are completely free, and I’d love to help you start exploring options.

I really appreciate that Disney has become much more transparent about the sensory experiences within their attractions and shows.

They actually have an entire sensory guide now that breaks down things like:
✨ loud noises
✨ darkness
✨ lighting effects
✨ strong smells
✨ sudden movement
✨ water effects
✨ restraint types
✨ elements of surprise
…for attractions across all four parks and Disney Springs.

And as both a parent and someone who knows that not every person experiences environments the same way, I genuinely love seeing this information become easier to access... because Disney trips don’t look the same for every family.

Not every child can happily go from rope drop to fireworks.
Not every guest enjoys loud shows, sudden drops, crowds, flashing lights, or intense attractions.

There is nothing wrong with riding the PeopleMover for the 4th time.

If you would like assistance booking your next trip or need help with an existing trip, let me know! I understand these things because we as a family live these things, and I genuinely enjoy helping others make the most of their time together.

Imagine ending your wedding day watching the sunset somewhere in the middle of the ocean, then heading to an adults-only dinner while the sound of the water follows you back to your private balcony stateroom.

A Disney cruise honeymoon honestly sounds kind of incredible.

Whether it’s the Caribbean, Alaska, the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, or even Mexico, Disney Cruise Line offers honeymoon sailings that feel adventurous and relaxing at the same time.

And onboard, there’s actually a LOT for adults:
🥂 intimate dining at Palo, Remy, and Enchanté
💆 couples massages at Senses Spa
🍸 adults-only pools and lounges
🎶 live music, cabaret shows, and nightlife

Honestly, after wedding planning and day-of chaos? Being handed a drink and disappearing onto a ship for a week sounds pretty ideal.

One thing I think people don’t talk about enough is that there are SO many different ways to “do Disney.”

Not every trip has to be rope drop to fireworks.
Not every kid can handle nonstop stimulation all day long.
Not every family wants a super packed itinerary.

And that’s okay.

Some of my favorite Disney days have involved:
✨ slow mornings
✨ midday resort breaks
✨ mobile ordering food and sitting somewhere quiet for a bit
✨ taking the train around Magic Kingdom just because
✨ leaving the park earlier than planned instead of pushing everybody too far

Disney trips don’t have to look a certain way to still be magical.

Whether your family has sensory sensitivities, mobility concerns, food allergies, younger kids who still need naps, or you simply want a slower-paced vacation, there are a LOT of ways to plan a trip that works better for your family instead of against it.

That’s honestly one of the biggest reasons I love helping people plan vacations... figuring out how to make the trip fit YOU, not the other way around.

I know we spend a lot of time talking about Disney parks and cruises around here, but Aulani in Hawaii genuinely looks like the kind of place where you accidentally forget what day it is. 🌺

Disney is currently offering:
🥥 up to 25% off select rooms for stays of 5+ nights
🥥 up to 20% off select rooms for stays of 4 nights

Valid most nights from August 9 through October 18, 2026.
(And yes, this includes select Ocean View and Partial Ocean View rooms.)

Aulani is located on O‘ahu in Ko Olina and has all the Disney-level service and detail people love, but in a much slower, more relaxing setting.

Think lazy river mornings, ocean sunsets, tropical drinks by the pool, snorkeling and beach days, and character experiences without the chaos of a park day.

If you’ve been thinking about Hawaii, this is a really nice opportunity to price it out while the offer is available. Reach out anytime if you want help comparing room types, dates, pricing, or just figuring out whether Aulani would be a good fit for your trip. And as always, my Disney planning services are completely FREE.

Following up on yesterday’s military post because a lot of people genuinely don’t realize Disney offers special military rates too. ❤️🤍💙

Eligible military members can save on select Disney Cruise Line sailings departing from places like:
🚢 Port Canaveral
🚢 Fort Lauderdale
🚢 Vancouver
(even Barcelona for select Europe sailings)

And yes, the special military rates can ALSO be combined with the current $250 onboard credit offer on eligible 2026 Disney Wish and Disney Dream sailings.

Honestly, Disney cruises can end up being a lot more attainable than people assume once you start stacking the right offers together!

Whether you’re just starting to look, already have something booked, or simply want help understanding what’s available, feel free to reach out. My planning services are completely FREE, and I’m always happy to help make the process feel a little less overwhelming.

Military families, this is for you! ❤️🤍💙

Disney Cruise Line is offering a $250 onboard credit on select 2026 Disney Wish and Disney Dream sailings for eligible U.S. military members.

And the nice thing is that this can ALSO be combined with Disney’s military rates on eligible sailings, which can make a pretty significant difference depending on the itinerary.

The onboard credit can be used toward things like:
🚢 drinks
🚢 merchandise
🚢 Port Adventures
🚢 spa treatments
🚢 onboard activities

Basically… vacation money you don’t have to feel guilty spending later. 😜

The offer is valid on select Florida sailings through the end of 2026 and, unlike many other promos, it applies to both new AND existing bookings.

Whether you’re ready to book, already have something booked, or honestly just want more information, let me know! My planning services are completely FREE, and I’m happy to help take some of the stress and guesswork out of the process.
