There's Another Perk to using Lightning Lane!

When you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Disneyland, Disney PhotoPass is included during your visit, so if you're already planning to use the park photographers, that's a nice added value!

And PLEASE take advantage of it.❤️

We made sure to stop for photos throughout our Disneyland trip, and now we have so many pictures of our family that we wouldn't have gotten otherwise.

Sometimes you're so busy taking pictures of your kids that you're never actually IN the pictures.

That's why I love using the PhotoPass photographers!

So… would I buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Disneyland? 🤔

Honestly… it’s a little harder to answer than YES or NO.

During our Disneyland Park day, we accomplished 23 rides, but we also stopped for snacks, explored the park and took advantage of rides that were close together.

We used Lightning Lane for a few attractions, and it was definitely nice to have when we wanted to skip a longer standby wait. Not all rides offer Lightning Lane at Disneyland, it is a bit limited. 🙌

BUT…

We visited the last week of July, and we were surprised by how manageable the Disneyland wait times were compared to what we're used to experiencing at Disney World.

So for our family, Lightning Lane wasn't something we felt like we needed for every ride.

My takeaway?

⚡️ If you really want to minimize waiting → YES, it's a great option.

🎢 If you're okay with some standby waits → you may not feel like you need it.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If your family wants to maximize rides and your vacation time is limited → I would definitely consider it.

There isn't one right answer for everyone, and that's exactly why I don't believe in automatically telling every client to purchase it.

Inside Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland, you can walk through a series of beautifully detailed scenes that tell the story of Sleeping Beauty.

And the best part? It doesn't take a huge chunk of your park day.

It's one of those little Disneyland experiences that's easy to walk right past if you don't know it's there.

And that's exactly why I love experiencing these things myself before helping my clients plan.

✨ PAINT THE NIGHT!

One of my Disneyland bucket-list experiences… and I’m SO glad we got to see it! ❤️

We actually stayed for the second showing and were able to find a great spot with only about 15 minutes of waiting.

No sitting on Main Street for an hour.

We rode rides. 🎢
We grabbed snacks. 🍿
Then we watched the parade. 🌈✨

And watching my kids’ faces as the parade came down Main Street? That’s the Disney magic I wanted to remember. 🥹❤️

✨MY PAINT THE NIGHT PRO TIP!✨

If you can stay awake for the second parade… DO IT! 😂

The second showing is typically less crowded, which means you don't necessarily have to give up an hour of your park time to claim a spot. This can be applied for ANY Disney park parade with two showings, go to the second one!

And that's exactly what we did!

Instead of sitting on Main Street waiting:

🎢 We rode rides
🍿 We grabbed snacks
✨ We enjoyed the park

Then we headed toward the parade route.

We were there about 15 minutes before the parade, grabbed some popcorn and found a GREAT spot to watch it come down Main Street. 🙌

And with kids who would rather be riding than waiting? This was perfect for us.

This is the kind of little strategy I love sharing with my clients.

Because when you only have a few days at Disney, your time matters.

✨ PAINT THE NIGHT - ONE OF MY DISNEYLAND BUCKET-LIST MOMENTS!✨

I have wanted to see Paint the Night at Disneyland for YEARS, so I was SO excited that we happened to visit while it was running. ❤️

There are typically two parade performances in an evening, which gives you options for when to fit it into your park day.

And if you've been following along, you know our family is very ride-focused. 😂🎢

So instead of spending an hour sitting on Main Street waiting for a parade spot, we spent that time:

🎢 Riding rides
🍿 Grabbing snacks
✨ Enjoying the park

About 15 minutes before the second parade, we headed over and found the perfect spot on Main Street..

And honestly? Watching my kids watch the parade was my favorite part. 🥹❤️
