We are looking to hire a part time driver to be a part of our Veteran, Family owned, Special Transportation Service Company. As a driver you will be responsible for transporting patients who are disabled and/or unable to drive. We have a good variety of work to enable you to transport locally or long distance. This will be specifically for Stretcher transport with opportunity to do wheelchair along with night and weekends. As a driver you will also need to be on call one week during nights and one weekend a month besides the regular hours during the day. Hours will very from 20-40 plus per week depending on what is scheduled.

Please understand that we require you to:

- Be 25 years of age or older
- Have a clean driving record for the last 5 years
- Be able to pass a D.OT. physical
- Have a clean criminal history
- Must be friendly and understanding, every patient is different and some have specific needs.
- Be able to check vehicle daily and fill out a daily inspection form
- Need to be able to work on call (after hours) one week and one weekend a month.
- Neat and organized, vehicles need to stay clean for every transport.

If considered for employment, we will provide training in: First Aid, CPR, Defensive Driving, Abuse Prevention, Passenger Assistance, and Culture Competency. In addition to the training, we also provide: Background checks to include fingerprinting, drug/alcohol testing, and driving record checks. Once all training is completed we provide shirts and jackets with our company name and logo that you are required to wear so that our customers can easily recognize you.

Pay depends on experience. No experience needed. At this time we do not offer medical or dental insurance. We do offer flexible scheduling.

Minimum qualifications:

- 25 years of age or older
- NO FELONIES or criminal charges involving any kind of abuse, sexual acts, or drug charges.
- Driving record free of: DWI/DUIs, accidents, carless/reckless driving in the past 5 years. Must have a reasonably clean record.

WE WILL CONDUCT A BACKGROUND CHECK, MVR RECORD CHECK, AND DRUG TEST!

Care Transport Services is well known in the community for safety, integrity, and compassion! Our reputation depends on quality care, respect, and understanding for our customers. Our drivers work independently with the customer to provide the best care possible!

Pay will depend on your ability and comfort level to perform various tasks. At a minimum, you will need to be able to transport people in wheelchairs. This involves loading/unloading, securing wheelchair, customer, and belongings.

Increased pay for someone who is willing and able to transport customers who are in need of stretcher transportation. Stretcher transportation takes more effort and requires a level of strength. The biggest challenge is when we transport the customer to their residence, every home is different and can create unique challenges.

Shift differential for night and weekend work.
