I just happened to notice this potentially catastrophic issue on this folding propeller. Notified the owner and he had me pull the prop and extract the broken retaining bolt. It kind of baffles me that this part was actually painted over, meaning somebody saw the issue but just ignored it. 🤦‍♂️

46 Hake Sailboat. Pretty cool boat. Needed new zincs and zinc plates. Everything cleaned up nicely and will remain on a monthly schedule so it doesn’t get this fouled up again.
